MNRP
MNRP is a compound produced from pyrolytic lignin, and can replace approximately 50% of the phenol normally used in the manufacture of phenol-formaldehyde (PF) resins. PF resins are used in many applications, but the vast majority of the product is used to produce wood particulate panels for construction, such as OSB and plywood.
Ensyn’s MNRP has received certification under the EcoLogo program, North America’s most widely recognized and respected certification of environmental leadership. This has allowed one partner resin manufacturer to receive EcoLogo certification for its PF resin that contains MNRP, and also clears the way for the composite board manufacturer to request EcoLogo certification to increase its share of the green market.
OSB board made with MNRP has been certified by TECO™, North America’s independent certification agency for building products.
