To Ensyn, environmental responsibility refers to both stewardship of the natural environment and ensuring a healthy and safe work environment for our employees.
Environmental Stewardship
Ensyn is in the process of validating its RTP™ process as carbon- and GHG-negative when using forestry or agricultural residuals through a third-party Life Cycle Analysis and a Net Energy Assessment.
Ensyn is also in the process of establishing an environment policy that encompasses:
- a detailed understanding of and compliance with legal requirements, as well as other voluntary standards and codes of practice that Ensyn has agreed to abide by;
- the identification of environmental aspects and impacts of its products and processes;
- the establishment of environmental objectives and action plans to meet those objectives;
- the provision of adequate environmental training of all employees and contractors;
- internal and external environmental communications strategies;
- operational controls to ensure that impacts on the environment are minimized or eliminated;
- emergency preparedness and response procedures;
- monitoring and measurement protocols to verify environmental performance;
- regular environmental audits; and
- an annual review of performance by senior management to ensure that the organization continually improves.
